What is Images?
From its start in 1981, Images Magazine has continued to include the best that Parkland College artists have to offer. Images Magazine was first supported by Joe Harris, past chair of the humanities department. After several editors and an extended hiatus, The Prospectus, Parkland’s student-run newspaper has worked with a small team to produce this high-quality magazine. Images encourages students to submit their visual art, graphic design, poetry, fiction, and non-fiction work for review and publication in this magazine. Images is published yearly and is printed at the end of the spring semester.
- Submissions are accepted by Parkland students registered during the 2017-2018 academic year. Interested students may submit six entries per genre (written and/or visual art), totaling a maximum of twelve entries per student. Submitters will be notified of accepted pieces by the end of each marking period.
- When submitting, please be sure to include artist’s preferred name, title for each submission, and a short (no more than five sentences) artist biography.
- Artist names will be removed from submissions before they are judged by a group of Prospectus staff.
Questions and entries may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
