*Disclaimer* The following statement is posted as received from the candidate, no edits have been made.Taka Al-Rawe, a name that in my country means loyalty and honesty. I am Middle Eastern and have worked in Student Life for an enough time for me to meet all kinds of people and hear their issues. I am eager to address them to the board of trustees because I care. That's why I am running for the Student Trustee position. When I first came to the USA I came with the intention "I'm just going to finish studying and go back home" but after the time I spent here I got attached to Parkland and had to take the right steps to make the campus a better place. Lately I have been going through a tough time, that got me thinking I am representing the body of the students, which is about 10,000 students, then I thought to myself do I have what it takes? I figured out while I was obtaining my signatures, that to have what it takes you have to talk to the students and follow the problem until it's solved. I promise to do what is in my power to make a better campus.
