Student Government Candidate Statement, John Williams

I have been a student senator here for the past year. You may have seen me in the halls around Parkland. You know that guy that always has a smnile? That's me! I try to listen to the concerns of all the students here at Parkland. I have received a total of 53 concerns from the students here at Parkland in the last 2 semesters alone and have addressed them all at the student government meeting every week. One concern I keep hearing about is the internet speed during peak usage hours around lunch. Well, I am committed to increase the internet capacity here at Parkland. I have also helped spearhead an MDA fundraising campaign this semester here at Parkland. I am completely focused on this position, and will have no distractions from my job. My resume may not be as long as some of my opponents. However, I am a people person and proud of it. My main concern is for you, the student, and if I am elected to be your Student Trustee I will continue to let your voices be heard.
