Parkland Softball heats up the spring
As the weather starts to heat up, Parkland’s softball team is beginning to do the same thing. The now fifth nationally ranked team has an outstanding 16-5 record, and has won their last four games, bringing them to a total of eight wins out of 10.
Cobra baseball hits the south
The Parkland Baseball Team began the 2014 year ranked fourteenth in the country. The first weekend of the season had the Cobras traveling to Millington, Tennessee, where the team faced some very tough competition.

Cobra’s Softball enters 2014 season
Parkland Women’s Softball is entering the 2014 season with their first game on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 against Rend Lake in Ina, Illinois.
Last season proved to be a great one for Parkland softball as the Lady Cobras finished with a record of 38 and 11 before losing in the regional semifinals to Lincoln Land Community College.

Recruiting is an aspect of coaching that can be harder than it may seem. Recruiting not only takes time, but it also takes a toll on a coach, as they spend many hours a day traveling just to watch certain athletes play because they want them to be a part of a winning program.
Men’s Basketball remain undefeated
Parkland basketball is back for the second semester with a record of 6-0. The team has been solid since the turn of the calendar with wins over Black Hawk East, ABCD Prep, Morton, Central Michigan Club, Millikin JV and Lincoln.
